Shirley Robertson OBE at the Centre's 10 year anniversary I have attended the Island Pilates Centre regularly for four years. In addition to enjoying the exercises, I have found Alison's personalised approach helpful therapy for knee, shoulder and back problems at different times. Dr. Marion Hill (General Practitioner) Pilates has helped me get back my strength from an operation in 2000 and I have kept coming ever since. I would be lost without it. Shirley You have changed my whole outlook towards my body and I think you pass on so much more than Pilates. Sue Pilates is the best thing that has ever happened to me and Kim is the best teacher you could ever wish to have. Many thanks. Gill I took up pilates with Alison ante-natally and resumed it post-natally. It has balanced and strengthened my body in a way that I wouldn't have thought possible. I'm leaner and fitter than I've been in decades! Old "weak spots" are no longer weak. Regular pilates is brilliant for body and soul. Wendy Pilates with Alison always makes me feel so supple and able to do anything! It helps with my sport, running, gym work and squash. It enables me to perform better at work and as a nurse it is needed! Thank you for all your input. Chris Learning pilates with Kim in one to one and then studio sessions I have learnt to manage my pain when all else has failed. Doreen Alison has absolute dedication to our individual needs. We are each given our own special programme after she has pinpointed and researched our particular needs. She continually updates her training so that we can all benefit from the latest techniques. Combine this with a modern, extensively equipped studio run with true professionalism and you could do no better. Ro Kim's sessions are most enjoyable. Her attention to each student's needs is remarkable and her constant striving to learn what will benefit us all is much appreciated. We go home inspired if exhausted! Ena Pilates with Alison is the best possible exercise for helping with problems of old polio. It makes me aware of "good or bad" movement and stops me from overcompensating which I have done all my life. Just wonderful - and I actually enjoy it! Ilona Once or twice a year I'd put my back out and spend at least two days recovering. pilates with Kim has changed all that and I haven't put my back out since I started pilates about 3 years ago. Clive I really appreciate the one to one attention in my studio sessions with Kim and the way individual problems are managed even in a small group session. Every exercise is well explained or even demonstrated. I feel it benefits me enormously and that Kim understands what is going on in my body (because I'm blowed if I do). Jan Five years ago before I discovered pilates I was constantly visiting the chiropractor. Back pain really got me down and not being able to tie my shoe laces was the last straw. Kim sorted me out and how things have changed. I am working on all pieces of their superb equipment at a good intermediate level and feel wonderful. Thank you Kim and pilates. Alison |
